Ever since the release of Grand Theft Auto IV there has been a popular point of view
as to how Grand Theft Auto IV essentially did not live up to the hype and was
overrated. Some going as far as that IV was a bad game due to it not being "bigger then San Andreas" and how "the gameplay lacked as compared to previous Grand Theft Auto titles". Just
because the map was smaller didn’t make it that much less of an
achievement in terms of astonishing detail.
Gamers Guide to Life
recently wrote an interesting article pointing out the many reasons as
to why Grand Theft Auto IV is one of the highest rated games of all time. Sure some
of the criticism directed towards Rockstar’s signature title is valid,
but Rockstar will most definitely strike that fine balance between a bigger
map and ‘more to do’ after the the game’s storyline is complete in the
next iteration, however for now, nearly three years later, Grand Theft Auto IV is one
of the most unique games in video game history and will be remembered
as such for years to come.
