The large scale map project "Gostown Paradise" has now been re-created for Grand Theft Auto IV! The Tropical Island style map is a project that was originally created for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and over time the project became a hit as the map grew and the places became more varied, now putting the RAGE engine to good use!

For more information, you can check out the GTAForums thread. It can also be downloaded from GTA-Modding.

A Grand Theft Auto IV modder who goes by the name of Casull16 took on the daunting task of updating the textures for every single pedestrian in Grand Theft Auto IV. That's right, all 335 pedestrians, which come in at over 8,000 textures and a file size of 712Mb. The mod page shows a comparison between the original and updated textures, which also shows the infinite patience that the author clearly has.

Ever wanted to see San Andreas in the new RAGE engine? Then this will be a modification for you! This is without a doubt one of the biggest total conversions to date for Grand Theft Auto IV; Grand Theft Auto IV: San Andreas aims to port the entire San Andreas map along with a selection of vehicles into the Grand Theft Auto IV RAGE engine. This August you'll be able to download a BETA version of this which will give you the FULL MAP to play around with along with a choice of vehicles so you can test for yourself just how good this modification will run for you!

Our friends over at GTANet have created this Google Maps powered version of Grand Theft Auto IV's Liberty City map.

Recently updated with a 3D street view mechanic, this map let's you explore the entirety of Liberty City, and also includes a navigation bar on the right side panel that overlays the locations of important items and locations.

For the maximum effect, be sure to toggle on the full-screen option in the upper right corner and maximise your browser.  Surely a lot of time and work went into this! Excellent job GTANet on creating this map!
